Hi, I’m Melissa Brockett, the heart behind SimpleStyles by Mel – where healthy hair meets holistic care!
For nearly 20 years, I’ve worked as a registered nurse in medical-surgical units, emergency departments, and homecare — serving as a staff nurse, supervisor, manager, and educator. Through these experiences, I witnessed firsthand how health, stress and medications can impact someone’s hair journey. That’s why I founded SimpleStyles by Mel: to bridge the gap between healthcare and haircare, giving you a salon experience that nourishes not just your style, but your scalp and confidence too.

No. Only one guardian may accompany children receiving services.
No, SSBM does not accept walk-ins. We provide a personalized experience and do not double-book clients. Please join the waitlist or book a service online.
We allow a 10-minute grace period. After 20 minutes, appointments are canceled, and a $25 late fee applies.
You may reschedule your appointment. However, all cancellations and no-shows will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
Client must pay a deposit with a valid debit/credit card when booking any service, online or by phone. If they have a package credit or membership credit, please contact the salon to schedule their appointment. Gift card credits require a deposit to secure their time slot but will be refunded back at the appointment.
